Honorable Ministers of Trade and Industry from Uganda, Rwanda, Kenya and Tanzania visit to the Embassy of the United Republic of Tanzania. Washington, D.C.

The Honorable Ministers of Trade and Industry from East African countries Uganda, Rwanda, Kenya and Tanzania visited the Embassy of the United Republic of Tanzania on September 25th, 2016 and convened a Preparatory Meeting for the East African Community position to the United States Sub-Saharan Africa Trade and Economic Cooperation Forum held on September 26th, 2016.

CORNELL UNIVERSITY FELLOWSHIPS
 
NEW STUDENT FELLOWSHIP
New students fellowship is one of many  fellowships set up by the cornell university to help new applicants on tuition, stipend and individual health insurance. The Cornell University Fellowships are awarded at the time of admission.
How to apply:
  • Student must be applying to Cornell University.
  • Prospective students apply for fellowships in support of diversity through the admissions application.
  • To be considered, applicants must respond “yes” to the question on the admissions application asking if they wish to be considered for university assistantships and fellowships, including diversity fellowships. Applicants must also submit a supplemental essay that addresses how the above criteria apply.
  • The Director of Graduate Studies for the graduate field to which the applicant is applying must submit a nomination to the Graduate School for consideration by the Associate Dean for Inclusion & Student Engagement and the Dean of the Graduate School.

The Carnegie African Diaspora Fellowship Program (CADFP) is a scholar fellowship program for educational projects at African higher education institutions. WORLD BANK GROUP AFRICA EARLY YEARS FELLOWSHIP 2017 FOR YOUNG AFRICAN PROFESSIONALS
The World Bank Group’s Early Learning Partnership (ELP) is launching the Africa Early Years fellowship to recruit a cadre of young African professionals to support governments and World Bank teams to scale up investments in the early years. This new initiative is complementary to the WBG Africa Fellowship Program, which is targeting Ph.D students from Sub-Saharan Africa who are interested in starting careers with the World Bank Group.
Application Procedure:
  • To apply, please submit a completed application form and resume by October 20, 2016. Only short listed candidates will be contacted.
  • Fellows will be selected by December 2016 and will start work in early 2017.

Kikwete nyumbani kwake kwa chakula cha jioni na kujumuika pamoja na ujumbe wa Jamhuri ya Muungano wa Tanzania, ambao walikuwa nchini Marekani kwa ajili ya kuhudhuria mikutano ya Benki ya Dunia (World Bank Group) na International Monetary Fund (IMF) tarehe 12 - 17 Aprili 2016. Kwenye ziara yake jijini Washington, Mhe. Rais Mstaafu Kikwete alishiriki katika Kongamano la Kimataifa la Afya (World Health Congress) na Mkutano wa Kamisheni ya Umoja wa Mataifa ya Kushauri Namna Bora ya Kugharamia Fursa ya Elimu kwa Wote Duniani (International Commission on Financing Global Education Opportunity).

Katika ziara ya Mhe. Balozi Wilson M. Masilingi ya Oakland, California alikutana na wafanyabiashara katika sekta ya utalii wanaopeleka watalii Tanzania katika kampuni zao. Mhe. Balozi aliongea nao kujua changamoto wanazopata katika kupeleka watalii Tanzania, kwaajili ya kutengeneza mkakati wa kuongeza idadi ya watalii wanaoenda huko. Baada ya maongezi yao, Mhe. End of the Year Message of H.E Ambassador Wilson Masilingi to the Tanzanians living in the United States.



 
H.E Ambassador Wilson Masilingi delivered his end of year message which called Tanzanians living in the United States of America to strengthen their cooperation and continue to be good Ambassadors of the United Republic of Tanzania to the United States of America. He also highlighted various activities that, the government of the United Republic of Tanzania through the Embassy in the United States is implementing in realization of the Economic Diplomacy. Ambassador’s message reiterated all Tanzanians in the United to engage in various economic and social initiatives so as to contribute to the country socio-economic development. He further assured the Tanzania Diaspora of the Embassy cooperation and readiness to collaborate in any initiative of interest to the people of Tanzania and the Country in General.

Mhe. Wilson Masilingi, Balozi wa Jamhuri ya Muungano wa Tanzania nchini Marekani akikaribishwa ofisini kwa Mhe. Balozi Hunaina Almugheiry, Balozi wa Oman nchini Marekani.

Mheshimiwa Wilson Masilingi, Balozi wa Jamhuri ya Muungano wa Tanzania nchini Marekani alimtembelea Mhe. Hunainah AlMugheiry, Balozi wa Oman nchini Marekani, ofisini kwake Washington DC leo Alhamisi Desemba 3,2015. Katika mazungumzo Mhe. Balozi Masilingi aliambatana na Bw. Suleiman Ahmed Saleh, Afisa wa Ubalozi wa Tanzania Washington DC.

Mazungumzo kati ya Mhe. Balozi Masilingi na Mhe. Mugheiry yalilenga katika kuimarisha mahusiano kati ya nchi hizo mbili zenye mahusiano ya kidugu. Mhe. Balozi Mugheiry alifurahishwa na kuonana na Mhe. Masilingi na kubainisha kwamba Oman na Tanzania zina mahusiano ya kidamu na hivyo nchi hizo hazina budi kudumisha mahusiano hayo ya kihistoria. Mhe. Mugheiry alimweleza Balozi Masilingi kwamba amefarijika uchaguzi wa Tanzania ulikwisha salama na Tanzania kumpata mrithi wa Rais mpya Mhe. John Pombe Magufuli kufuatia kumaliza muda wake Rais aliyepita Mhe. Jakaya Kikwete.Aliongeza kwa kusema kwamba Oman na Tanzania zimekuwa na mashirikiano ya kiuchumi,kibiashara na kielimu na anaamini kwamba ujenzi wa bandari ya Bagamoyo na fursa za masomo ya juu zinazotolewa na Serikali ya Oman kwa wanafunzi wa Tanzania Bara na Visiwani ni vielelezo vya mahusiano hayo.

Kwa upande wake Mhe. Balozi Masilingi alifarijika sana kumsikia Mhe. Balozi Hunainah wa Oman akimwambia kwamba alizaliwa Dar-es-Salaam, Tanzania, na familia yake ina mizizi visiwani Zanzibar pia. Alimshukuru Balozi Hunainah kwa kumkaribisha ofisini kwake na kufahamiana naye na kuahidi kufanya naye kazi kwa karibu katika kuendeleza mahusiano baina ya nchi zao zenye mahusiano ya asili.
